Open: Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 8 am to 2 pm; July 1 thru August 31. Directions: Take Hwy 421 north to Wilkesboro and cross the Yadkin River. Take the second exit ramp "Speers Bridge Road & Forbush High School". Turn right at the top of the exit ramp and then left at the end of the road. The farm will be 2.5 miles on the left. Types of Grapes
There are several; types of grapes:
Muscadines and Scuppernongs, Large, very sweet southern grapes with large seeds
Pick ripe: Grapes do not ripen after they are picked
Appearance: Look for heavy, firm grapes
To harvest grapes, carefully cut the grape clusters from the vine using pruning shears. Be careful not to bruise or damage the fruit
or the surrounding vines.
