always here. Directions: On route 111 25 minutes after the Saint John
airport turn right onto West Quaco Road. This is 1 km before the actual
village of Saint Martins. From Sussex go 50 minutes down route 111 to Saint
Martins. Pass straight on by the Street Martins Xtr gas /convenience for
about 1 km, then turn left onto West Quaco Road. We are at number 280. We
follow organic practices, but are not seeking certification. Payment: Cash,
Visa/MasterCard. Minihorse Farm is home to 5 Registered American Miniature
Horses and a small flock of free range hens. Children love to feed and pet
the animals, gather eggs if the time is right, and search our garden pond
area for the 7 foot "Swamp Lady". Our 170 year old farmhouse is a two
bedroom B and B and we also have two rental cottages on the property with a
stunning view of the sparkling Bay of Fundy. The hosts are an artist couple
and there is a gallery/shop with prints, cards, originals, and varieties of

MacDougall Settlement, NB, (about 20 minutes from Moncton). Open: daily from
8am to 8pm. Prices (2005): $1.50 per pound. Customers must bring their own
containers. Also available is fresh homemade strawberry jam.
Pre-picked berries are $4 per quart. They grow four types of strawberries:
K-93, Bounty, Cavendish and XX, extending their season well beyond most
U-Picks.

Strawberry season in New Brunswick normally is in high gear by the Canada Day
weekend. But for most growers and pickers, it only lasts two or three weeks.
