Notes for November 2024: Crop growth is slowing down, except for Christmas tree farms and if you live in southern California, southern Texas, Florida or along the Gulf coast where citrus are starting, and believe it or not, the blueberry and strawberry season in those areas is about to begin. See your state harvest calendar . This year, much of the country is still seeing mild weather, so lettuce, peas, broccoli, cabbage and other greens are thriving. And this is a good time to get a canner and learn how to preserve foods for the winter, like canning some applesauce, apple butter or jam, which make great gifts. As do your own homemade specialty liqueurs! How about homemade cranberry sauce or a pumpkin pie made from a real pumpkin for the holidays? When you arrive, you enter our office and check out a pair of Clippers and get a JoNina Farm bag, From there, you hop on a tractor-pulled wagon that takes you up to the grove, where you eat as much fruit as your belly can hold and clip as much as the bag will. It's a fun family event to get out in an orange grove, take some family & friends photos and just soak up the Vitamin C & D nature offers. Their blackberry vines are loaded with berries. They were not ready to be picked when we were there. The blueberries had been picked the day before so we were able to purchase already picked berries. The blueberries were large (dime size) and very sweet. I would suggest giving them a call to find out what berries are ready. My only regret is that they are 5 hours away from where I live. Enjoy!"

Pumpkin patch: October 1st through November 6th.there is no admission fee to visit the pumpkin patch. Guests are only charged the cost of their selected pumpkins. Price is dependent upon size and type of pumpkin selected and therefore, varies. The average price range is from $3.00 to $8.00 per pumpkin. Corn maze: your autumn adventure begins at Rutland Farms! Come get lost in our giant, 15 acre corn maze, light up the night with our flashlight nights inside the maze or, for tiny explorers, check out our mini maze designed with toddlers in mind.
