Ohio Strawberry Festivals in 2021

Update for 2021 and Coronavirus:

It looks like many festivals are returning for 2021, with the possible exception of some in states like California, Michigan, New York. Even so, many festivals will not finalize or announce their plans until the last minute, so when we have not seen an update, we've left last year's data below and suggest you see the festivals website or call the festival as the date gets close to see if they will hold it this year.

All the strawberry festivals in Ohio we can find are listed on this page! If you love strawberries, look for a festival near you below! And I'm always looking for more strawberry festivals! Please write me, if you know of any to add!  I update the dates as soon as the festivals publish their information, but you can always click on the links (usually the name of the festival) to see the current information on the festival's own website.

Ohio 2021 Strawberry Festivals - Where, When and More Details!


There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more. 
CHECK before you go.  Texas, Florida, Georgia, etc, are fully re-opened and having no problems, but Ohio is still cancelling outdoor events like strawberry festivals.   

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Augusta Township VFD Annual Strawberry Festival -  Friday and Saturday in early June - The parade will be held Saturday at7 p.m.
    The Park by the Elementary School, Augusta, OH 44607. Phone: 330-324-2411 or 330-360-7849. There will be good food, games, tractor pulls and a band.  This is the 70th year for the Augusta Strawberry Festival, since 1949 to 2019!  Parade Line up at 6pm,Step Off at 7pm. North of the village. Friday Tractor Pull - Scales Open at 5pm Pull Starts @ 6pm on Saturday the Tractor Pull-Scales Open at 5pm Pull Starts @ 6pm.
    There will also be Bingo, Games, Good Food, Entertainment.
  • Bolivar Strawberry Festival - Thursday, Friday and Saturday in mid-June - check their website for this year's dates-
    Bolivar, OH 44612. Email: [email protected]. Directions: click here for a map and directions. They have Pageants, Contests, a 5K Run and much more. Thursday & Friday 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Saturday from 12 noon to 11:00 pm Free to the Public in Historic Downtown Bolivar! Bolivar Strawberry Festival Attractions include: Amusement Rides, Food Concessions, Live Music and Entertainment, Arts & Crafts, Night Glow 5k Run, Friday night, Strawberry Eating, Contest on Saturday, Bolivar Fire Dept. Parade Saturday at 4:00. Strawberry Queen, Little Miss Berry Princess and Little Miss Shortcake Princess Contests, Business Vendors.   • The Holland-Springfield Strawberry Festival - mid-June (Wednesday through Sunday)  , (check their website for this year's dates)
    Community Homecoming Park, Holland, Ohio.  Phone: 419-865-0574. Email: click here for their contact form. The festival features all types of strawberry goodies as well as rides and games of skill and chance for the family. Parade on Sunday at 1 p.m. Click here for a link to our Facebook page. 2019 Admission is $3.00 per person at the gate children 7 and under are free, parking is free. Re-admission is free with a (U.V.) stamp only on the same day. This year we will be having some new events going on through the week and the weekend. New this year will be a bike give away, we will be giving away a new bike every night to one lucky boy and one lucky girl between the ages of 4 and 12.   • Kirtland Kiwanis Strawberry Festival - mid June (check their website for this year's dates), 5 consecutive days, usually from noon to late evening.
    Lakeland Community College, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, OH. Phone: Jerry Lesak, 440-487-2157. The Strawberry Festival, in its 48th year, features a strawberry theme, with amusement rides for young children, teens and adults; it also has a midway and flea market. The Strawberry Festival Parade is held at 6:30pm on Friday. Strawberry desserts (strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries) are a wonderful part of the festival and there are fresh strawberries for sale, as well. Portions of the profits are used for local scholarships and community projects. Admission is Free.
  • London Ohio Strawberry Festival - held annually the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday after Father's Day in June.
    18 S Main St, London, OH 43140.  Strawberry Shortcake Tent sponsored by Huntington Bank. Located on ST RT 56, on the downtown, historic streets of London. We have rides, games, food (every food vendor has to have something Strawberry!), free nightly entertainment, the largest Cobra Car Show benefiting Cystic Fibrosis, and of course Strawberry Shortcake. Free nightly entertainment on the main stage. Rides and Games by Albanese Amusements.  Youth Parade on Wednesday.  Queens Parade on Saturday.  London AC Cobra Car Show benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Saturday on the Courthouse Square.  Kiddie Tractor Pull & Kids Games sponsored by Madison Pediatrics.  Royalty Windows located on festival grounds.The London Strawberry Festival is held annually on ST RT 56, on the downtown, historic streets of London. We have rides, games, food (every food vendor has to have something Strawberry!), free nightly entertainment, the largest Cobra Car Show benefiting Cystic Fibrosis, and of course Strawberry Shortcake.   • Newark Strawberry Festival  - UPDATE for 2021: The event is canceled until 2022; June 3, 2022 to June 5, 2022; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in late May or early June from 11:00 am to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.

"2021 Update Announcement: The Kiwanis Club of Newark, Ohio, has canceled its 2021 Newark Strawberry Festival due to ongoing concerns related to COVID-19." Funny, meanwhile, as of May 8, 2021, the Atlanta Braves are back in person at FULL CAPACITY at SunTrust Park in Georgia and not having an COVID problems; why is Ohio still cancelling outdoor events?....  Directions: The Strawberry Festival is held every year in Newark, Ohio on the Courthouse square. Newark is located 35 miles east of Columbus on State Route 16 where it crosses State Routes 13. Located on Courthouse Square in downtown Newark in Central Ohio, this is Licking County's largest annual event.  The weekend is filled with fun and entertainment for the entire family. Over 90 artisans, crafters and vendors from Ohio and surrounding areas exhibit their items. There will be ice cream, pizza, specialty sandwiches, French fries, and other delicious foods along with non-stop stage entertainment. Bates Amusement will be providing the rides and games this year. The opening day will be highlighted with the Strawberry Pageant on the courthouse gazebo from 5:00 - 7:00. Delightful young girls and women from kindergarten age through 12th grade participate in the event. Pageant winners from 4 different age categories will be crowned. Tour bus and handicapped parking is available. There is plenty of free parking around the square and along the streets. Hope to see you there!  (
  • Norwalk Jaycees Strawberry Festival - Memorial Day weekend in late May  (check their website for this year's dates)
    Main Street in Uptown Norwalk. Featuring free live nightly entertainment, rides, food, crafts, and fun. For more information. Their website was down (May 2009), so confirm before you go!
  • Troy Strawberry Festival - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the first weekend in June
    125 W. Staunton Road Troy, Oh 45373. Phone: 937-339-7714. Alternate Phone: 937-339-8769. Fax: 937-339-4944. Email: [email protected]. Open: Cancelled for 2021, hopefully it will be held again in 2022,  Troy Strawberry Festival Board of Directors announced Saturday that it will again cancel the annual festival, citing the ongoing pandemic and continued restrictions in the state. Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kathi Roetter said costs associated with the current state mandates would make the festival cost-prohibitive, among many other obstacles.  Click here for this year's dates and the schedule of events. Directions: The festival is held on the levee of the Miami River, Troy, OH. From Dayton, OH travel north on highway 75 to Troy, OH. Exit 69, exit 72 and exit 74 offer free parking and shuttle service. The Troy Strawberry Festival is 10 minutes from the intersection of highway 70 and highway 75. In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).
