It looks like most festivals are returning, aside from those that were killed off by the lockdowns of the past 2 years. That took a heavy toll on their finances. I am checking with them day by day, if you have an update for an, please tell me via the Feedback form.

There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more. 

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Bloomfield United Methodist Church Annual Strawberry Festival - Saturday, mid-June from 12 pm to 7 pm
    297 School Street, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Phone: (860) 242-5641. Email: BUMCFestival@gmail.com. The annual Bloomfield Strawberry Festival is a town-wide event that is open to the public and brings residents from throughout Connecticut together for a day of fun, food, and activities. 
  • Cheshire First Congregational Church Strawberry Festival -Saturday mid June from 10 am to 4 pm - As of mid May, there is still no update for this year on either the festivals website or facebook page; check their website for this year's dates,
     Church Green, Cheshire, CT. Phone: 203-272-5323. Strawberries and food made with strawberries, music, children's entertainment, a petting zoo, and more. Cheshire Strawberry Festival Facebook page. Held at the same time as the Cheshire Historical Society's antiques show, which is next door. located right on CT Route 10 in the heart of Cheshire. Every summer for nearly 80 years, thousands of people from Cheshire and surrounding communities converge on the historic Church Green to enjoy the time-honored tradition of the Cheshire Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair. It features naturally sweet, farm fresh strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream. In addition there are hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, slushies and other treats.An integral part of the festival is an Arts and Crafts Fair which features more than 30 juried artisans and crafters providing wonderfully handcrafted items of all shapes and sizes. Live music serves as a backdrop for this great community event. This family-friendly event is fun for everyone from toddlers to seniors. The children can enjoy fun games, inflatables, face painting and a petting zoo. Come join us!
  • Lebanon First Congregational Church of Lebanon Annual Strawberry Festival - Saturday in mid-June from 6pm-8pm,

  • Monroe Congregational Church Strawberry Festival - Father's Day Weekend, June,  Saturday (check their website for this other year's dates) from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm

We have over 90 juried exhibitors, local artists, ,strawberry pies, baked goods, children's games & live entertainment. So come and join us for a fun filled weekend!   • New Horizons Village Strawberry Festival & Craft Fair - Thursday, mid June - check their website for this year's dates from 10 am to 4 pm
    New Horizons Village, Unionville, CT. Live entertainment, classic cars, crafters, music and more. One of the highlights of the year here at New Horizons Village, the Strawberry Festival is now in its 60th year. The experience and entertainment are always fun, from the Antique Car Show to magicians and musicians, Beatles Forever will be performing in 2017. There are many children's games and activities, and, of course, wonderful food including our signature Strawberry Shortcake. The Arts and Crafts is central to the Festival, offering many excellent opportunities to buy unique gifts.
  • North Canton Community United Methodist Church Annual Strawberry Festival - Saturday, mid June,  festival always takes place the Saturday before Father's Day from 11 am to 5 pm (rain or shine)
    North Canton, CT. Phone: 860-693-4589. Features strawberries, homemade biscuits, real whipped cream, a silent auction, estate sale, burgers and hot dogs, and a bake sale. There are also activities for kids. Located 1/4 of a mile north of the intersection of Route 179 and Route 309 in the Town Of Canton. 67th Annual Strawberry Festival. Fresh strawberries with homemade biscuits and whipped cream, Goods and Services Silent Auction, Grandma's Attic Tag Sale, Potting Shed Plant Booth, Home baked goods, Fun stuff for kids, Burgers & dogs with homemade relish.
  • Orange Congregational Church UCC Annual Strawberry Festival - the second Saturday of June each year from 9 am to 5 pm
    Orange Fairgrounds, Orange, CT 06477. Phone: 203-795-9749. Email: occhurch@snet.net. Each year, our church volunteers make batches of delicious jam, pick strawberries, bake pies, cut up berries for pancakes, shortcake and sundaes, set up the festival grounds, direct parking, help out with children's activities, staff the church booth, make and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner foods, and work enthusiastically to create a fabulous festival for the community.
  • South Windsor Annual Strawberry Festival - Saturday in Mid June,  - The Festival will held be held Rain or Shine from 9 am to 5 PM

  • Torrington Strawberry Festival - June each year; Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM, June 4, 2022
    Coe Memorial Park, 101 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT 06790. Annual Torrington Strawberry Festival featuring Arts & Craft vendors from all over the state, Music, Food Trucks and of course - the BEST strawberry sweet treats you can imagine! Admission is FREE.

Farm Strawberry Festivals

In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).   • Windsor Brown's Harvest Strawberry Festival - Saturday and Sunday in mid-June from 10 am to 4 pm

Enjoy a day learning about and tasting our picked fresh daily strawberries. Take a tour of where and how our strawebrries grows, how we harvest it and more! Learn some tasty recipes. We will have food available for purchase from a variety of food trucks. Take a walk through the farm, see what is new for the season! We will have hanging baskets and patio plants for purchase, perfect Mother's Day gifts! Many local vendors will be here displaying their work, something for everyone to enjoy. Saturday, 8th "Better than Chips", Sunday, May 9th "Adelaide" will be playing live music for your entertainment.   • Hindinger Farm Strawberry Festival - mid-June from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    835 Dunbar Hill Rd, Hamden, CT 06514. Phone: (203) 288-0700. The Hindinger Farm Strawberry Festival is often thought of as one of the best ways for families to celebrate the beginning of summer. The festival is held every June as the strawberries ripen. Our rain date this year is June 16th, if need be. Join us for family hayrides, Brian making his famous Balloon Characters, Kelly's Ice Cream, lots of food, live music, and of course, beautiful, delicious red juicy strawberries! Glenwood in Hamden is going to be the food vendor this year, with hamburgers, hot dogs and more!  Come see our beautiful, Century Farm, nestled in the rolling hills of southwest Connecticut, just a short drive north of New Haven. We promise you will enjoy your day on the farm!
  • Lyman Orchard's Annual Strawberry Fest - Saturday in mid June . check their website for this year's dates), from 11 am to 4 pm
    Lyman Orchards, Middlefield, CT. Live music, strawberry shortcakes and ice cream, activities for kids and adults, giveaways, horse-drawn wagon rides, Frisbee golf and strawberry picking.
  • Priam Vinyards Annual Strawberry Festival - a weekend in mid-June, from 10am to 6pm each day; June 10, 2023 and June 11, 2023
