Peach Festivals in Colorado in 2024: Where, When and More to Find a Peach Festival Near You!

Peaches typically ripen from May (in northern Florida and Texas) through June, July and August in the mid-Atlantic, Midwest and New England. July dominates as the month for peach production (and festivals) Unlike strawberries, which grow almost anywhere, peaches are grown commercially in half as many states.

There are two general types of peach festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Peach festival held at and by a farm. They are different in what they offer, and community festivals tend to be less expensive so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both.)

Community Peach Festivals

• Fort Collins Peach Festival - mid-August; from 11am to 7pm, August 19, 2023
  Civic Center Park, Fort Collins, CO 80521. They will have areas for live music, beer and 21+ drinks, food, and other local vendors.Featuring Live Music, Food, Drink & Fun! The Fort Collins Peach Festival is back and better than ever. This peachy experience will feature:

  Food trucks

  Entry is FREE for everyone, adults and kids alike. Please note, there will be no kids zone this year and the event will primarily be an outdoor music + food + drink event.
  Founded in 2010 as Pigs ‘n Pits, the Fort Collins Peach Festival has evolved over the years. An entirely volunteer-organized event, the Peach Festival serves as a fundraiser for the Rotary Clubs of Northern Colorado and the money raised goes right back into our community.
• Lafayette Peach Annual Festival - a Saturday in mid-August from 9 am to 4 pm (August 19, 2023)
  Old Town Lafayette on Public Road, Layfayette, CO. Phone: 303-666-9555.. This is truly a peachy day! Palisade, Colorado peaches will be available for purchase. In addition to the world famous Palisade peaches, there will be an array of peach dishes for sale prepared by the huckleberry (Louisville), including 4,500 servings of warm peach cobbler and 500 peach pies with crumb topping and 80 individual pans of peach cobbler available for purchase while supplies last. Lafayette Chamber members and local volunteers will be selling these items in addition to the delicious peach smoothies throughout the day. Enjoy fresh baked bread, BBQ, Philly Cheese Steaks, Peach Pizza, Brats, Burgers, Gyros, Turkey Legs and much more from the many food vendors. The Festival is free to the public and features arts and crafts, antiques, food booths, free face painting, kids' activities (some fees apply) and so much more! Only Service Dogs Allowed! No shuttles service provided. Bloodmobile on site. Over 30,000 pounds of Certified Organic Peaches from Morton's Orchard's, Red Fox Run Orchards and Tate Orchards in Palisade, CO. will be available in 3 locations along Public Rd.
• Palisade Peach Festival - mid August - See their website for this year's dates and times
  Palisade, CO. Phone: 970-464-7458. Four days of fun-filled, entertaining events. With more than 100 food, art and craft vendors, great live musical entertainment, a fantastic children's area, various culinary activities, numerous special events, and of course. peaches. Festivities get underway Thursday evening, August 14 in downtown Palisade with the Ice Cream Social and Street Dance and the "passing of the torch" between the outgoing and incoming Town Grouch. Friday afternoon and Saturday are highlighted by the Peach Festival at Riverbend Park with a variety of other events taking place around town. Along with the festival in the park, there are plenty of opportunities for a genuine Palisade Experience throughout the four days − from guided orchard tours, to a historical walking tour, to self-guided biking and rafting trips and the Sunday Farmers Market.

In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own peach festivals.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).
