Look for a blackberry festival?  There is no other listing as complete and current as this list, just updated for 2008. All the blackberry festivals in the US, Canada and Britain we can find are listed on this page! If you love strawberries, look for a festival near you below! And I'm looking for more blackberry festivals! Please write me, if you know of any to add!  I will update it for next year (2009) as soon as the festivals publish their information.

The festival features foods made from blackberries, turn-of-the-century living history demonstrations, arts, crafts, music, melodrama, nature walks, fiddle contest, tours of historic ranch house, archaeological tours. Sponsored by Rotary Club of Clearlake and by the Anderson Marsh State Historic Park Interpretive Association.

• North Carolina Blackberry Festival - Saturday, July 12,
  Downtown Lenoir, NC.  Phone: 828-726-0616. Fax: 828-726-0385. Email: visitors@caldwellcochamber.org. The annual North Carolina Blackberry Festival will be in downtown Lenoir beginning at 10 a.m. Lineberger Farms will be onhand during the day with fresh blackberries for sale, along with other blackberry items. A variety of food vendors will be available and local restaurants will be open. Children's activities all day; a children’s area will offer free fun throughout the day on the Square sponsored by the Family Resource Center in Lenoir.

• McLoud Blackberry Festival - July 3rd/4th/5th
  McLoud, OK. Phone: 405-964-6566.The festival began in the 1940's as a celebration of the end of harvest season for the local cash farm crop, blackberries. The town received national media coverage when the Blackberry Growers Association sent a crate of berries to President Harry Truman. The association disbanded in 1963 due to a poor market and farmers moved on to a more lucrative crop. While blackberry farming may no longer be the agricultural strength of McLoud, the festival celebrated each year continues to be an exciting event for the town and draws thousands of attendees from throughout the nation. The 2008 festival is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 3rd at 5 p.m. and continue until Sunday, July 6th when it will end with a 10 p.m. fireworks display. Hours of operation each day will be as follows: Thursday, 5 p.m. - midnight; Friday, 8 a.m. - midnight and Saturday, 8 a.m. - midnight and Sunday 1 p.m. - 10 p.m.

• Illinois Valley Wild Blackberry & Arts & Crafts Festival - August 09-10, Saturday, 9am - 6pm and Sunday, 9am - 4pm.
  Cave Junction, Oregon. Held in early-August, every year, just as the native Oregon wild blackberries ripen. Many food items for sale at the festival feature the blackberry as a primary ingredient. Blackberry themes are also evident on many of the visual art and craft items sold.
• Sutherlin Blackberry Festival -
  Sutherlin, Oregon. A fun blackberry festival with events like mud volleyball and a classic car cruise, there is guaranteed to be an event for anyone.

• Bremerton Blackberry Festival - Labor Day weekend, next Sept 5-Sept 7, 2009

Located on the Bremerton Boardwalk in the heart of downtown the Bremerton Blackberry Festival draws over 50,000 people from around the country.
• Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival - Saturday, August 7,
  Joyce, WA. Phone: Ed McKay at 360-928-3331. Email: photopro@tenforward.com. Starts at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and lasts until 3:30 p.m., when raffle winners take home prizes. Highlights of the festival include homemade pies with the much-heralded local blackberries, a parade, children’s activities, a juried arts and crafts show, salmon bake, vendor’s booths, demonstrations and live entertainment. The festival’s main attraction is homemade blackberry pie topped with ice cream which is on sale all day. • West Virginia Blackberry Festival - July 31-Aug 1-2, 2008
  Clarksburg City Park, Nutter Fort, WV. Email: scmpsm@aol.com. The WV Blackberry festival is an event held the first weekend of August in the Clarksburg City Park in Nutter Fort, WV. Our objectives include promoting free entertainment in a family friendly atmosphere. Directions: From I-79 Exit 115, go north on Route 20 toward Clarksburg, go about 2 1/2 miles. Park is on the right just past the traffic light. From US Route 50 Exit at the Clarksburg Joyce Street Exit, follow Route 20 South about 2 1/2 miles, past Route 98, to the park on the left.

• Honeymoon Bay Blackberry Festival - Friday, August 29th, 2008
  Vancouver Island, BC. Phone: (250)749-3841. The festival is an annual event for our blackberry winery. Friday night Blackberry Bingo, Saturday Blackberry Breakfast and Tea/Craft sale in the afternoon. Experience Blackberry tea with string quartet, Ball with a live band, Beer Garden and pig roast. Blackberry themed merchandise and displays. Directions: Honeymoon Bay is located on the southern shore of Cowichan Lake, one of the largest fresh-water lakes on Vancouver Island.
